About Gaps and Cracks

Living in the gaps and falling between the cracks are not the same.

Gaps are intentional. They allow for the natural expansion and contraction caused by weather. Gaps are meaningful.

Cracks, on the other hand, are unintentional. The gaps help keep cracks isolated to one area. The gaps should minimize the appearance of cracks, but the unpredictable nature of cracks makes their appearance inevitable. If left alone, cracks will grow and eventually present hazardous conditions for those on the move.

The space between where you are (reality) and your ideal state (vision) are the gaps you need to embrace and intentionally manage. Without establishing meaningful gaps in your learning path, the cracks that appear (and they will eventually appear) will grow out of control.

Live in the gaps. When you do, you are more able to isolate and fill the cracks.
